  1. To implement the 2030 Bilingual Policy, improve students’ English speaking skills, and create an English-language environment on campuses, the Ministry of Education’s National and Preschool Education Department has been running the “Expanded Introduction of Foreign English Teachers Program” since 2021 and the “Assisting Public Schools in Introducing Part-Time Foreign English Teaching Assistants Program” (English Language Teaching Assistant, ELTA), which began recruiting on April 1, 2022.<\/li>\n
  2. The target group for the program consists of international students currently enrolled in Taiwanese universities who possess a certain level of English proficiency (CEFR B2 or higher), including degree and Chinese-language students.<\/li>\n
