Due to the coronavirus outbreak, please do not transit in China, Hong Kong, or Macau when returning to Taiwan. And please DO read the following regulations thoroughly.
According to the regulation, people who have transited in China, Hong Kong, or Macau, must wear masks all the time upon arrival. In addition, they CANNOT take public transportation; only private transportation are permitted, including private sedan, Uber vehicle, and taxi. They should proceed to Tamkang Hall for the 14-day self-isolation by private transportation directly from the airport upon arrival.
All TKU dormitory residents should take the 14-day self-isolation. Any resident who needs to transit in China, Hong Kong, or Macau must check in at Tamkang Hall before 24:00 on February 15, 2020 (Saturday). Violators will be banned from checking in at the dormitory.
For the dormitory residents who fail to check in (before February 15, 2020) due to late arrival, TKU will assist them in finding off-campus alternative accommodation. Those students have to be responsible for the fee by themselves.
Estimated fees are as followed: (NTD$)
1. Private transportation: NTD$1,500
2. Ear thermometer & masks (for 14 days): NTD$500 (please prepare masks before arriving at Taiwan since it’s difficult to acquire)
3. Off-campus accommodation (including 3 meals per day): NTD$31,500 (for 14 days in total)
For those who violate the 14-day self-isolation regulations will be fined of between NTD$10,000 and NTD$150,000 under the “Communicable Disease Control Act 69.” Last but not least, please DO NOT transit in China, Hong Kong, or Macau when returning to Taiwan.
